We hope everyone is in good health and keeping well. Our thoughts are with the families on the East Coast of the US who were effected by Hurricane Sandy. Like millions of people around the world, we watched the news in horror over the last few weeks. Keep the spirits high and we hope to see ye soon.
October saw us finish up our touring for 2012! We finished with a bang as we played to over 700 people in Wendlingen, Germany. The event was part of a festival which was held in Circus tent. Yes—A circus tent! Never did we ever think we would be telling people we played in one. It really was a night to remember and the crowd were fantastic. They were full of energy from start to finish.
After that Gig, Colm attended WOMEX in Thessaloniki, Greece. He was representing Goitse as part of the Culture Ireland delegation. It was a great success and we got to share our music with loads of different promoters from all around the world. As a result we hope to be touring in several new countries in 2013! More news on that to come later..
At present everyone is working on different projects. Tadhg is currently on a month long tour in Germany with good friends of ours Ciorras, Colm is heading off shortly for a month to France with Celtic Legends and Aine will be spending her Christmas in China with Gaelforce. Conal is busy teaching and playing music in Limerick including teaching Guitar as part of the BA Irish Music and Dance Course and James of course is still continuing his studies to be a Music Teacher.
January 2013 see’s us take to the stage in the 02 ABC in Glasgow as part of Scotlands Premier music festival Celtic Connections. We will be playing a double bill with Skerryvore on the 31st. We can’t wait to be part of such a wonderful festival and playing in such an amazing venue will be a wonderful experience. We will make sure to take some pictures to share with those on facebook who can’t make the trip. February and March will see us back in US for another cracking tour!
Do keep in touch with us on facebook for all the latest news and pictures. We also will have some fun things on Facebook for the Christmas season so please do follow us on it. We might even have some Christmas presents to give away 😉
We will talk to you soon,
All the best,
