Hi Everyone!
How’s everyone doing? We’re doing great! Since our last newsletter we’ve been pretty busy, if we do say so ourselves! We took a quick trip to Deutschland for a gig in a lovely town called Glauchau. The concert venue turned out to be in the courtyard of a castle! So although we had an early start on the morning after the gig, we still managed to squeeze in a lot of fun. Many thanks to everyone there for helping us out! A big shout out goes to the band Fleadh who opened the show with their great mix of tunes and songs. Also to Eibhlín, who gave Tadhg a refresher course in the German language so that he could try and tell embarrassing stories about Colm in a different country! It was all great craic and the crowd were suitably wild, even in the face of the rainy, windy (and very Irishy) weather!
Since then, it’s been a different type of busy for us. We’ve been working full steam ahead learning new tunes and putting some tracks together for a new album. All suggestions are welcome, by the way, if you think you have a tune or song that you’d like to hear Goitse have their wicked way with!
We’ve also such a busy year ahead for 2014, it’s almost just as hard to find a space in the calendar to record as it is to put everything together! But I guess that being busy is a very good complaint to have!
Apart from that, you might have seen a few photos of us having some fun while recording in the last while. Now we’d love to tell you all about it but, you see, we have a top secret project in the works at the moment, so you’re just going to have to tell all of your friends to start getting excited and to follow us on Facebook and Twitter and, of course, here, and we will reveal all very soon!
Excited?
