Hi Guys and gals,
It has been a busy summer so here is a quick catch up on what we have been up to.
The new album has been receiving glowing reports to date and we are very grateful to all of you for supporting it and our music. This summer we have been gigging the album at home in Ireland but have also managed some trips abroad to some great festivals. In July, we got the chance to meet up with some good friends of ours “Skerryvore” in Tiree, Scotland. What a mighty bunch of people and the festival was excellent!
Just last week we traveled to the All Ireland Fleadh in Cavan where we had two gigs. It was great to be there this year as we missed the “craic” last year and were delighted to see so many friends there. Tadhg decided to enter into the competitions since we were around this year and his hard endevaour was rewarded as he won the Senior All Ireland Piano competition! We all are sooooo proud of him.
In between the gigs at the fleadh we flew over to Italy for a gig and we were blown away by the response we got. It was our first time in Italy and we can’t wait to go back there again. Things have moved fast since the gig and we actually have been signed by Gigi Bresciani who will represent us in Italy and act as our tour manager.
Tomorrow, we jet off to America for a 4 week tour. First stop is Peoria, IL and after that we head to Kansas City, Beaver Island, Muskegon and loads of other places. For full gig listings please check out our tour dates on the website.
WE CAN’T WAIT FOR IT!! And we are really really really excited about meeting all of you again and performing our new material for you. We have got 3 different types of T-Shirts designed for the tour and we gave Irish fans a chance to purchase them at the fleadh. Over 20 of them were sold at our last gig Monday so we hope we have enough to last us the tour! Hopefully we will add the T-Shirts to our online shop in the near future but for now they will only be available on this American tour.
See ye all soon and next time we will send the news a lot faster 🙂
Mucho love,
The Goitse gang 🙂 x
